Fabbriche Aperte: Dompé welcomes tomorrow’s talent for a journey through research, innovation, and Made in Italy excellence

Bridging the present and future of innovation, Dompé is inspiring tomorrow’s talent with a behind-the-scenes tour of the places where scientific research, cutting-edge technology, and excellence come together. On April 9th, Dompé opened the doors of its production facility in L'Aquila to 120 students from the Amedeo D'Aosta Technical Institute as part of the Fabbriche Aperte (Open Factories) initiative.
Now in its second year, Fabbriche Aperte is sponsored by the Ministry for Business and Made in Italy and promoted by the Leonardo Committee, which brings together over 160 leading Italian export companies, including Dompé. The initiative is part of the Official Calendar of Celebrations for the 2025 National Made in Italy Day and aims to showcase our country’s creativity and industrial excellence through hands-on experiences in the field. The focus of this year's edition, titled "Made in Italy: between identity and innovation," was on high technology, innovation, and research, spotlighting Italy’s ability to embrace progress and stay ahead of global challenges on the horizon without neglecting more traditional sectors.  Students from the Amedeo D'Aosta Institute began their journey in the auditorium, where Stefano Arena, Dompé’s Chief Industrial Officer, introduced them to the company’s legacy as a biopharmaceutical leader with over 130 years of history. The students then had the opportunity to explore the 170,000-square-meter L’Aquila facility, including a visit to the Research & Development laboratories and production departments. There, they gained firsthand insight into a site that has been at the forefront of transforming scientific and technological discoveries into groundbreaking therapeutic solutions since 1993.   "We are proud to once again take part in Fabbriche Aperte,” said Stefano Arena. “This initiative bridges education and industry, a crucial step in shaping the future of our country. We firmly believe in the power of knowledge-sharing and the importance of inspiring younger generations. Opening the doors of our production hub allows us to offer students a tangible vision of innovation in Italy: how we drive global health advancements while upholding the culture and expertise that make Made in Italy unique," Arena concluded.
