A focus on well-being and ongoing prevention, Dompé’s commitment to athletes
Bringing innovative treatment solutions to patients and providing essential support to the whole community by promoting all-round wellness, this is the commitment of the biopharmaceutical company Dompé;
Objectives that also shift from care to the athletes’ needs: from prevention to disease awareness with the project Stopcontratture.it, up to focusing on well-being during physical activity with the supplements line Friliver® Sport;

Milan, 9 March 2017. When one speaks about health, the commitment of a pharmaceutical company is substantiated by two key principles: bringing innovative treatment solutions to patients and providing essential support to the whole community, scientific and not, for ongoing prevention and more accurate diagnosis.
It is in fact the concept of physical well-being, together with ongoing R&D and product innovation, that characterises Dompé, a biopharmaceutical company that also specialises in Primary Care.
A focus on all-round wellness that also calls upon athletes’ health, with a commitment that spans from prevention and awareness on specific diseases, to focusing on the correct performance of physical activity. Last year Dompé launched a collaboration in this area with SIMSE (Società Italiana di Medicina dello Sport e dell’Esercizio), the Italian Society of Sports and Exercise Medicine, Stopcontratture.it, Dompé’s digital hub dedicated to athletes, offering experts’ advice for correctly identifying and treating muscle contractures, as well as tips for performing sports responsibly.
Also available to athletes is Dompé Friliver® Sport, a supplements line, especially designed to provide specific nutritional substances that are necessary to best satisfy the body’s metabolic needs, before, during and after the different sporting activities. The objective is to offer athletes, professionals or amateurs, a made-to-measure answer at all times.
“For those, like us, who everyday are at the patient’s side together with the scientific community, it’s important to not only substantiate our commitment with ongoing research to find innovative treatment solutions, but also and most importantly to provide care that is increasingly well-informed regarding prevention and the concept of well-being”, explains Eugenio Aringhieri, CEO of Dompé. “Recent data regarding physical activity at school and elsewhere, positioned Italy at the bottom of the most “sporty” European countries list. A record that does not honour us, and which forces the healthcare system stakeholders to rethink the models with which the importance of playing sport and in the correct manner are promoted. This is also one of our objectives”.
It is precisely Friliver® Sport that will sponsor the green jersey (King of the Mountain) of the Under-23 40th Giro d’Italia taking place from the 9th to the 15th June, starting from Imola, consisting of 7 stages and ending at Campo Imperatore, in Abruzzo.
For those who play sports, the green jersey of the climbing specialists, awarded to the best grimpeur of the Giro d’Italia, represents an award after an intense physical effort, having challenged and surpassed one’s limits, thanks to tenacity and optimal physical condition.
