Maria began her career as a medicinal chemistry researcher at Mediolanum farmaceutici in Milan, Italy, and received a degree in Organic Chemistry.
With a nearly 30 years tenure at Dompé, Maria has experience in numerous aspects of the company’s research and development activities. Beginning as a researcher in organic chemistry at the beginning of her career, she has continuously risen to positions of increasing leadership within research and business development.
Recently appointed Director of Scientific Collaborations & Funding, Maria manages and expands Dompé’s national and international network of scientific collaborations. Her primary objective is to lead her team by adding value through scientific publications, business development, supporting the licensing and acquisitions operations, and creating new intellectual property. Her role also includes coordinating the search and evaluation of opportunities for funding internal programs and submitting proposals and management of grants funded by National or European authorities (CE).
