“More Than Science”: the B20 Healthcare & Life Sciences remembers the key role of scientific research with a video campaign created with Armando Testa
Economic prosperity, culture, our social life, the well-being of our communities, and democracy are linked to health.
Never as in this last year has the world realized this. For this reason, the B20 Healthcare and Life Sciences task force - the G20 engagement group expression of the business community at a global level - created the "More than Science" video campaign, to recall the importance of scientific research and innovation in the Life Sciences sector.
The video is made by Armando Testa with the creative direction of Michele Mariani (art director Barbara Ghiotti, copywriter Sara Greco). In just one minute it shows the exceptional commitment of scientific research and how science can “make everything we do possible”: the birth of a child, a visit to a museum, to go to a concert, the hug of two elderly people, a dip in the sea at sunset and so many different actions.
"SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IS HUMAN RESEARCH" is the claim chosen and it underlines the close connection between scientific research and the progress of humanity.
“This dramatic pandemic has shown us that only investments in research and development and collaboration between the scientific, industrial and institutional world can lead to unprecedented results. A concrete example of this effort is the development in a few months of new vaccines, based on new technologies. On 31stDecember the available doses will 11 billion” underlined Sergio Dompé, Chair of the B20 Task Force Healthcare & Life Sciences. “It’s important to remember how the progress of research affects the lives of all of us every single second”.
